One of the distinctive features of Good Shepherd is that we enjoy having fun together. While having fun, we also do a decent job of serving community needs.  Below are a few of the ways in which we have fun:

All-You-Can-Eat Dinners

Over the course of each year five dinners are held in Brigham Hall. Usually consisting of a variety of entrees along with vegetables and a homemade dessert bar, these dinners are completely prepared and served by our parishioners.

Shepherd’s Marketplace

Our annual holiday craft fair  extraordinaire. This is no simple marketplace. We transform Brigham Hall into a Christmas wonderland! This fundraiser is spearheaded by numerous creative people who offer their time and talent throughout the year to make this treasured event a reality. In addition, one of our church dinners is always held on the night of the Shepherd’s Marketplace.

Lenten Lunches

A Good Shepherd tradition for the past 36 years, this annual event has broad support. Taking place during the first six Fridays of Lent (always excluding Good Friday) a lunch of lobster rolls, assorted sandwiches, homemade chowder, and baked pies is offered.

Annual Church Picnic

Each September we gather at Mittineague Park for our annual picnic. We provide the  burgers and hot dogs while you bring your favorite dish.

Men’s Group

The men’s group consists of all the men of the parish. We meet every other month on a Saturday morning (8:30 a.m.) to have breakfast and enjoy each other’s company. The men’s group also helps out at all parish events.

Tanglewood Trip

Is there a better way to enjoy the splendor of God’s creation than listening to the music of the Boston Symphony while having a glass of wine on the beautiful grounds of Tanglewood. Each year a group of us travel the 30 miles to Lenox to enjoy the music of the BSO (after attending church, of course).
