Adult Bible Study

We offer two  weekly bible study groups. One meets at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings, and is led by our seminarian Mark Betsher. The second group meets at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings, just before the celebration of the Eucharist. This group is led by our priest, Father John DeBonville.

Both groups take a look at the lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday. We have found that this enriches our worship because we have an understanding of the context and spiritual meaning of the lessons.  All are welcome to join us.

Church School

We are blessed to have five caring and talented teachers in Fran Liddell, Jessica Vasquez, Jennifer McCormick, Terry Hurlbut, and Lainey Hurlbut. Each week during the Eucharist we teach our youngsters (ages 4-12) the foundations of our Christian faith in a curriculum that has met with success at other churches.

If you have young children who need a grounding in the Christian faith, please enroll them in our Church School.

Youth Group

During this past year our youth group attended a college football and basketball game, minor league baseball game, and also assisted at our church suppers. Our objective with the youth group is to continue teaching them about the Christian faith while giving them the opportunity to have some fun.

We also strongly encourage our youth group to attend Camp Bement, our Diocesan Camp located in Charlton, Massachusetts. We know from past experience that youngsters who attend Camp Bement deepen their faith, enjoy the country surroundings, and meet other youngsters who become life-long friends.

New Testament course

Have you ever wondered how the Gospel of Matthew differs from the Gospel of Luke? Father DeBonville will lead a course on the New Testament beginning in the fall of 2007. This is a video course, with a 20 minute presentation followed by live discussion of what we saw on television. This promises to be a very enjoyable course.
